May 2, 2010 - Prayers of the Faithful

 

1. Let us pray for the Church,

   witness to the saving life, death and resurrection of Jesus,

We pray to you Lord,

RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.

2. Let us pray for Fr. Tonny and Fr. Joy, and the priests of the diocese who

   will be on retreat this coming week,

   that they be renewed in their vocation and continue to respond generously

   to the call of Christ,

We pray to you Lord,

RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.

3. Let us pray for our community,

   celebrating the Eucharist in the spirit of love and reconciliation,

We pray to you, Lord,

RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.

4. Let us pray for those who prepare the soil and plant with tender care in hope

   of an abundant harvest,

We pray to you Lord,

RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.

5. Let us pray for those who are ill and in the hospital,

   that they may experience God's healing touch,

   We pray to you Lord,

RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.

6. Let us now pray in silence for our personal intentions,

(Pause 5-7 seconds)
